Info about lidocaine cream (for numbing sensation on skin)

You can imagine how lidocaine can be used on a penis for control, tpe and denial kinks.
Still I need to use it somewhere else and I look for anyone with experience to tell me about how it is like when u use it.
It do last for a while after u clean and wash? How long is this while?
