Is it wierd that when I call my bf daddy, I sorta mean it?

I know it sounds weird but when I call my bf daddy I mean it. I know its because I feel like he's the closest thing I've had to a father figure. My dad didn't stick around before i was actually born. Am I the only that feel like that or is it more common then I think it is.
I welcome any and all options on the subject but thats how I feel
