How practical are female chastity belts long term?

I'm very interested in chastity devices, and I'd love to be locked up in one in the future. Of course, I would start with shorter periods and work up to longer periods of time. However, when I look at chastity belts like those made by Fancy Steel, I imagine they aren't very practical for longer term use? You'd want to be unlocked frequently for cleaning and shaving, yes, but they also seem to have a lot of rough edges that would chafe, especially on bigger ladies.

Anyone have experience with these devices?
