Before me [M30] and my partner [F28] became active in the kink community, locally and online, we were always under the impression that your partner in kink is also the same as your partner in your vanilla life.
As we've been meeting people and engaging in conversation, we learned that this wasn't always the case, and that sometimes, dom/sub does not equal partner/spouse/etc.
Genuinely curious as to what that's like? No plans or interest to get into it, just curious and engaging in dialogue.
It definitely has some challenges, I've been married for almost 30 years and have been with my Dom for a little over 10 years. Takes lots of open and honest communication and pretty good time management. But most of all, it's having 2 partners who respect your other relationships and boundaries
