my boyfriend and i joke a lot. when i’m mad i’ll jokingly say “i’m boutta beat that ass!!” both of us knowing that’s a lie. we’ve been going through a rough time so there’s a lot of pent up anger from both of us. whenever we get the chance to BE sexual, it feels awesome because it releases sooo much tension from both of us!! but i’ve discovered that outside of being intimate when we’re joking (again 100% joking!!!) he’ll say stuff like “one day you’re gonna yell at me and im jusy gonna completely smite u!” and we’ll laugh together, because we understand that we’re both angry and stressed from life right now and it’s stressing us both out, but then he kinda babies me a little? it’s a running bit that “i’m just a lady” “i’m literally just a baby idk why ur mad at me” y’know? stupid shit. so he’ll take this joke and say “i wouldn’t have to hit you if you didn’t make me so mad. you’re just so dumb though, you’re just a lady, you don’t know any better so i gotta teach you and sometimes that’s gonna get you in trouble huh?” and whilst we BOTH KNOW this is a joke and i laugh it off, telling him i’ll beat his ass etc etc— it just completely melts me. like my mind just goes blank and i feel so soft. he uses a soft tone, like how “gentle parsnts” talk when they’re explaining something to their kid? and when he does that it just immediately sends me into this like trance almost lol. idk if anything i’m saying is making sense. i don’t know if it’s babying that makes me lose my mind but i love when he uses a soft tone in a condescending way. what is this?!?!?!
