Does anyone use maintenance spankings before a major holiday?

We are not together anymore due to work and distance, but when the holiday's were approaching, my sub would get so "bitchy" and "anxious".

We found that it worked better for her, if we had a set maintenance spanking arranged to start the day, especially when family got together. We would find a little bit of quiet time before the madness started and she would get a maintenance spanking.

(For those that will ask, it was not as hard as a punishment, but hard enough to get the point across.)

For us, we found that she was able to handle the stress better during the day, when she had the gentle reminder when she was able to sit down, or brushed her ass against something.

This was also used when the full moon came, as a preventative.

She told me that "It was enough for me to notice, and not want anything harder later if I lost my cool"
