Reddit used to be my go to for BDSM content and community over the past decade or so. The community text based involvement still seems to be decent, but the posting and original content that used to be generated by organic users seems to have completely disappeared. The front page of almost all of the bdsm subs are filled with either bots or low effort only fans users.
I’m not against sellers and think people should be paid for their work. I’m not at all blasting bdsm creators from being compensated, but it didn’t used to be almost exclusively sellers. And the sellers weren’t all low effort. There are few sellers who made some high quality context and they’ve all but disappeared along with the OC posters.
I know there’s been massive issues with Reddit fucking over 3rd party platforms and there’s been talk of Reddit encouraging a mass flood of bots to artificially boost user base numbers…. Maybe that’s what’s driving it?
Has anyone else noticed this? Is it just what’s to be expected with all the changes? It’s kind of depressing to lose such a quality platform overnight like that.
