Yesterday I was at the train station and I while I was waiting for my train home and this guy stopped me to ask about "alternative" events in the city. I replied telling him about techno and goth nights but he just went "Oh no I mean stuff where ballbusting is allowed". I told him about the only play party in the city and just gave some general info about the various spaces said party is at outside of that city. He also asked me if I knew any pros who could do it and I was honest and told him I didn't (I have spoken with a couple of prodommes, but it was just small talk and honestly I don't think it counts as knowing them).
Dude was fairly nice and respectful and nothing bad happened, but I honestly wonder what made him go "oh yeah i'll ask this person they'll know", and like, he was correct but also it's a little strange.
Only thing I could think of is that I was wearing a green bandana on the left side of my pants, I was wearing it like that for practical reasons but he may have thought I was flagging as a sex worker (it was kelly green, yes i had to look it up because i only remember like 4 colors). Here's the thing about that though: hanky code is a pretty niche thing, I've never seen anyone flag in my country/area (both in kinky and gay men's/just overall queer spaces), and, if we really wanna be nitpicky, the bandana was in the front left belt loop, not the back pocket. Google is free though and it not being used does not mean no one knows what it is.
Idk, honestly it all sounds like a weird social experiment? The weirdest thing wasn't that the guy asked, but that he found the "right" person to ask (right is quotations because i just told him what i knew, and i don't know everything.
