I was looking for the right sub for this, I hope it fits here, as there hopefully are some Germans here. In short, my partner (28M) and I (32F) have been casually invited to a kink/bdsm event by a friend of his. Invited as in, "you should come too", not "here is an invitation letter addressed to you specifically". The event is in Western Germany, not Berlin, for context, so the scenes might be different.

I've never been to a kink event in Germany (in another country I've been to quite a few) and I wonder how exlucive these events usually are, and what the standards are. Namely, how likely is it that I would be turned back at the door because I'm not, for example, attractive enough (e.g. fit/young/pretty)? I take the dress code seriously and always put effort into fitting it, so that would presumably not be the issue, but I heard from my partner that it's a thing that people are refused entrance due to undisclosed criteria (though he's never been to these events at all, this is just hearsay). I wonder if I should even try to get in, as I'm size 40 and definitely not a super model.
