Is there a reason you need to use a diall ring, instead of just a diall plate, as a load bearing attachment point.
Post Body

I'm looking to attach two attachment points to the wall that will act like attachment points on a saint andrews cross. Whenever I see anyone else with a similar setup they've used diall rings, is there any reason you couldn't just use a diall plate without the ring? I'm concerned the ring moving about will be heard by my neighbours. I'll post a link to what a diall plate and ring look like below. Thanks in advance for any advice.
