Negative repercussions to excessive stimulation

Been thinking about this fantasy for a while:
Having my girl/sub, we go for a walk, and for 24 hours, I would use a remote controlled vibrator to edge her the entire time until she orgasms at my command, or something along that premise.
My main issue is I am curious to know if there are any downsides to excessive or constant stimulation over the course of 24 to 48 hours. Or does it just no feel like anything after a while, but it come backs later?
