I've scoured this and similar subreddits and Google itself in search of Doms with borderline personality disorder and couldn't find any. Doms in general rarely mention their disorders, while subs tend be BPD.
But I wonder, are there any stable D/s relationships where Dom is the one with BPD or BPD-like traits?
How would it affect the disorder? Having this level of responsibility in the safety of bedroom seems like a good way to explore issues that BDPs struggle with. Then, on the flip side, it may also mean that the person with borderline won't be able to connect on the trauma level and will be constantly unsatisfied.
Any thoughts?
Edit. I'm asking this from a perspective of a switch, who would potentially engage with long term partner who has a suspicion of BPD. My partner used to be mostly sub in our relationship, but we might change things, as that didn't fully work. That would be coupled with therapy and not a substitute.
