Long time swinger, first time Dom, need advice.

My wife and I have been swingers for many years, and have had a lot of overlap with the BDSM community. Its never appealed to my wife more because shes very sensitive to pain in a negative way. When she gets even a mild slap on the ass her first instinct is to throw a punch or do some damage.
But she really wants to be a good sub now too.
So my question is what punishments are good for someone who just simply gets nothing but instant anger from pain?
