My partner wants to go to a sex club

I've never been and I don't know what to expect or what I'm getting myself into. I'm an open person and open to going but I'd like to try to get a better idea of what to expect, what are the rules, what is it like, as a woman what do I do, do I bring my own toys or what? What about keeping myself sexually safe from harm and or disease? I'd really love some insight here. Thank you in advance.
