Passing out kink

My partner and I enjoy choking eachother till we pass out. Is it safe? The first (and only) time we did it I fully passed out three times and I noticed that I felt lightlesded afterwards. Still, I think that doing it occasionally wouldn't be harmful to my body I just have concerns with the choking and passing out itself. Is it self? It is easy for it to go wrong? What do we do if it does?
