Bleeding related to impact play, and managing scenes
Post Body

I'm a relatively experienced Dom, having been active in the scene for the best part of 2 decades.

I have recently been approached by a sub who wants to be struck / whipped until they are bloody. This is normally something I try to avoid, but it has happened in the past (normally accidentally or unexpectedly), and usually this is the point at which I stop and engage in a different type of play or aftercare after communicating the incident with my play partner. My usual go tos are a leather belt or a cane.

I am interested in exploring the more extreme scene the sub has expressed a desire for, but I am only interested in doing so if I can get a handle on the safety aspects of such a session.

Predominantly, I am concerned with infections to wounds and broken skin after the session has occurred.

Can anyone with experience in this advise me on the best way to go about this? Specifically how to handle bleeding during a scene and to prevent longer term scarring as much as possible.
