Hi everyone, give me some advice, please.

Me and my lady finally decided to try some strap-on stuff. I did some research, found great panties with a metal ring, she loves them and I'd really like to buy them, however, the ring is 4.5 cm (1.57 inches) in diameter and the vast majority of dongs I found have smaller diameter of the sucker at the base. I'm familiar with some panties alternatives, but they don't look that good, maybe there are some advices you could give, or maybe I completely misunderstand the connection mechanisms, cause no matter how I searched it's the last issue anyone mantions and if so, very briefly.
