SSC vs. RACK
Post Body

At the risk of opening a can of worms of "one true wayism," I was wondering what ppl's thoughts on SSC and RACK are. I have my own thoughts I would appreciate feedback on.

So SSC seems to be the most ethical of the models...the "safest" and "sanest." So I respect it for that. My issue is, what is "safe" and "sane?" Sane is a hard one to define objectively, so I've sorta given up trying to figure out that one. Safe can be objectively defined, but I find that if it is, it would seem to prohibit some consensual kinks. Breath play is objectively unsafe, so by SSC rules, it should be frowned on. But what right do we have to frown on the sexual practices of consenting adults?

Which is where RACK starts making sense to me. It's more unrestricted. Less judgemental it seems like. And it really takes the "anything between consenting adults is ok" mindset to its logical conclusion. But is that a logical conclusion we want to come to? Like when I hear horror stories of ppl being gagged and tied up and left for hours and nearly (or actually) dying, it's like, at what point does the concern for safety outweigh the consenting adults enjoying whatever they want?

OMG IDK about SSC and RACK LOL 😅 anyway those are my thoughts. I'm not looking for "right" or "wrong" answers because I suspect there aren't clear cut ones. Just non-judgemental feedback. Thanks.
