Words pegging vs fucking

Not exactly a BDSM question, but pegging comes up here and I'm not sure where else to ask...
I'm curious why the word "pegging" is used instead of "fucking". Is there a difference between them, for you?
If the difference is penetration by flesh vs "implement," do any women like to say they're being pegged?
Does anyone prefer the word "fucking" for male anal penetration? Does that word feel even more subby?
