This mentality of "go to munches to make friends, not to find people" is driving me insane and I feel the need to talk about it.
Post Body

I was reading this archived topic and almost every last one of those posts was driving me crazy, I really wanted to reply, but it's archived, so I'll just make a reply here.

Folks, the idea that going to munches is to make guy friends, or just friends in general, is fucking crazy to me.

Do I want to go to a FAN CLUB for my kink? FUCK. NO. Why would I want to go meetup to make friends over similar turn ons? Are you people insane?! That is not something to make a male friendship over! I am NOT interested in talking to other men about what turns me on.

You know one thing I never talk to the bros about? MY FUCKING FETISHES. I sure as fuck don't want to go to an entire meeting or society about it!

It's like that advice that they give in vanilla dating. "Just go to make friends, not to find someone to date." Oh what, you don't FLIRT WITH THE BROS?!

Jesus H Christ, man...like there just seems to be no solution for someone who just isn't into discussing his kinks with people who are not even close to potentially interested in exploring them.

I've gotten the advice that I should apprentice under a dom before, and I seriously think I'm going to puke...

No offense to anyone who is into public scenes, it's just not for me...and I don't want to discuss this kind of thing in even accepting public spaces.

Sigh...I just don't want to go to wildly, WILDLY disproportionately male meets where the women are ALWAYS ALREADY OWNED.
