Am I setting my expectations too high as a new sub? (A question especially for switches)
Post Body

Hi everyone. I want some genuine opinions, feedback, and maybe even some other people's experiences cause I'm struggling to adjust to my new role as a sub.

For some context I have been interested in BDSM for a very long time; like I'm sure most of us have. I started out identifying where my interest lie at the young age of 18/19. I have since identified myself as a switch, gained experience, learned my kinks and limits, and had a fair amount of fun along the way.

However, recently I found myself wanting to explore my less experienced sub side more than ever. I had usually played the Dom and attended very little to my submissive side, even though I always knew it was there. For whatever reason due to age or personality or something, I want to activately be submissive to a Dominant in a way I have never been before. But I have found few Dom/me's match with the expectations of what I am looking for, and me to them.

Am I simply raising the bar too high? Do I think the perfect dominant for me is myself, something which obviously can't exist.

I'm particularly curious if other switches have faced this problem? I reckon it's irregular for most to attend to one side and rarely the other like I have, but maybe this is more a common problem than I realise.
