How to deal with being a sub while keeping masculinity

Hi gang, I (M35, in Belgium) am having some real hard time with living out my sub fantasies with women. I still feel that I need to fulfill my classic role as someone who takes control in ducking, and am unable to really explain to my partner and submerge into the submissive role. Some force inside me (pride? Ego? Fear of disappointing women? Fear of being regarded "unmanly" by them? ) is keeping me from really giving myself over to being a sub. Did you have similar troubles, and how to deal with this? I have no masculinity issues outside my sexlife (really don't care about "being manly" and bs,).
