Is it weird for a Dom to have kinks typically associated with subs?
Post Body

Hi. I am 21 non binary transmasc and I am a dom. I have experience with bdsm for about 4 to 5 years now and I have a slight issue. I have a slight degradation kink. I love hearing my sub degrade me and then "making them pay" for that. I also love subs doing typical Dom actions to me (for example choking me, or taking the lead) and then I "reverse" it on them, sometimes by using their exact words. Every friend I've had in the community has said to me that it is weird but I paid them no mind. Now, this kink has caused many potential partners and subs to think that I am not a true Dom. I think this means that I want a brat but I haven't met anyone who thinks that this is "normal". My ex fwb told me that this means I am a sub and they never allowed me to continue the scene where I turn stuff around. I know I am not a sub or a switch but having so many people tell me that makes me doubt myself and that makes it more difficult to open up to potential partners about this side of me. Is it really that weird?
