Hello, This post might seem a bit unusual, but I’ve decided to share my thoughts here after observing this community for a while. I’m keen on starting a discussion with someone who can relate.

For some time, I’ve found myself fascinated by the concepts of pain and humiliation, not just as fleeting thoughts but as deeper interests. Initially, it wasn’t something that greatly concerned me, but as it became more pronounced, I took it upon myself to delve into some self-reflection and analysis. Through this, I discovered my intrigue extends beyond pain to the dynamics of power and submission, even bordering on attraction. (not always in a sexual context, but with all the accompanying emotions)

I’m 26 and currently single, lacking a partner with whom to explore these interests. Nonetheless, I often find myself engrossed in rather kinky fantasies, particularly drawn to specific types of pain and humiliation, such as electric shocks or flogging (and contemplating them in movies, for example). I’m curious about these experiences to the extent of considering self-experimentation (what does flogging actually feel like?). I’m uncertain about the appropriateness of these thoughts or if anyone else has explored them personally (within reason)

If the chance arises, I believe I’d be willing to explore these interests with a partner. However, given my current single status and living in a country where such topics are often met with conservatism and judgment, I’ve been grappling with feelings of anxiety and fears of abnormality.
