Potential subs and their lack of engagement during vetting conversations
Post Body

Hey y’all :)

I (32F) recently started looking for an online or irl sub for the first time through Reddit. I made it clear I was looking for more than just kink and that I wanted us to get to know each other and be able to converse.

Like every other Domme that’s posted an ad, I got a lot of candidates. A few of them really stood out as being compatible so I struck up a conversation. The issue I’m having with some is that when we start talking, I feel like I’m at a one-sided interview instead of having a discussion or conversation where we both get to know each other. A lot of the subs I message not only want me to control the conversation (which I do), but they also want me to ask all the questions about everything AND freely offer up information about myself because they aren’t asking. It makes me wary that they are just looking for any Domme behind the screen that will accept them and that feels shitty to me, personally.

I know sometimes some subs are content to sit back and wait for direction or maybe they think asking me questions is rude. But I even asked one of the men if he had any questions for me after I’d asked him a lot and he said he didn’t.

Am I reading into it too much or is it a potential red flag when subs don’t try to get to know you? Before I tell them we are incompatible, should I give them a heads up about their lack of participation and seeming lack of interest being a major turn off?

Thanks!
