How to help a new domme into impact play?

Hi there. I was approached by a new domme I met at a party a few weeks ago. She asked me if I can sub for her on impact play as I'm also new to the bdsm scene. She wants help with getting over the mindset that she is hurting someone which is why I think I have only seen her do light impact and light sensation play. Is there any advice I can give when we do start a scene? I already got some good advice by someone I chatted with here on reddit but wanted to get more since I just found this subreddit.
