After being single and celibate (by choice) for over 8 years following a very traumatic experience with a 'Dom' which took me a long time to recover from physically (needed glue/stitches on my body and plastic surgery on my face to repair the damage) and even longer mentally, I felt emotionally ready and made the decision at the start of 2023 to find not just a Dom who I'm compatible with in a D/s dynamic, but as a life partner too. I met the most incredible man around 6 months ago and at age 39, have experienced for the first time true love, mutual devotion, trust and respect, and have never been happier.

Both of us have the same attitude towards being collared, to us, it's more significant than getting engaged. We want to do more as a couple and at the moment are challenged by living 4hrs apart, but as I work from home I plan on relocating so he stays close to his kids. We have discussed this before on a surface level of how we want my collaring (and reaffirmation of our contract) to be a somewhat formal occasion, hopefully attended by friends we make in the kink community locally.

I do wear some jewellery that I bought myself, a double o ring gold and crystal necklace that's very subtle but is a comfort to me, as is the heavy duty leather collar that I have from my 20s. My Dom has also given me a personalised bracelet that acts as a permanent 'collar' for us. However, I would love to be able to give him ideas for day collars I can wear when we're apart, and leave it up to him if and when he chooses to give me one.

Please don't misunderstand me, I'm not trying to push my Master into collaring me formally by giving me the day collar, we're on the same page when it comes to how important that is to us both. We are very much in love and slowly working on blending our lives, and I'm completely secure in our relationship - I've never been happier, never treated so well, I never knew love like this existed. A day collar given by him would be incredibly precious to me and something I'd wear proudly each day, albeit more casual than my 'permanent' collar that's just for us privately. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
