How do you decline online advances you’re not interested in?
Post Body

Hey all,

Thank you for taking the time to read and possibly respond to my question. I have been on Reddit and Fetlife for a good 5-6 years now and I’ve used both to meet play partners in that time. However, any time you post an ad for meeting potential partners, there are always going to be people you’re not interested in / don’t connect with for whatever reason.

My question is - how do you let those individuals know you’re not interested?

For low effort messages or messages that stress me out, I generally won’t respond. But for messages where at least some effort was put in, how do you go about it? I almost want to stop responding because every once and a while I get someone who ends up being really pushy or coercive (especially on Fet) but I hate leaving people hanging.
