Hi all. Re: what the title says: I’m not freshly new to BDSM, but have only been active for about a year and a half; so there’s much for me to learn.

I just started talking to a potential Dom on a kinky dating app and asked him questions I’d ask any Dom as part of my process. In my profile (which has just the right of vanilla details about me in my opinion), I’m transparent about major kinks and say that I’d be more than happy to explain more [in detail] as whoever I match with and I chat more. As he didn’t include or allude to any of his kinks other than that he’s a Dom, I decided to ask him about his Dom-style and his current favorite kinks. He completely avoided answering and said that he caters his style to each of his subs. I completely understand a Dom wanting to cater to subs” specific kinks and desires; however, a part of me feels like I’m providing a lot of kinky info about me without anything from him. Anytime I’d mention a kink, he’d just say he was also very much into it without further explanation, even when I asked if he could describe how said kink would manifest with his Dom style.

Another thing he did was be (what I took as) condescending when I was trying to explain how what I initially stated as an example of degradation might actually be more aligned with humiliation, to which he responded in a way that made it seem like what I was talking about was for certain only degradation.

Again, maybe I’m blowing things out of proportion, which would make sense as I have anxiety. But I am open to advice.

EDIT: I forgot to clarify that this Dom mentioned that he is very experienced.

I decided to reach out to end communicating with him two days ago and to say that I don’t think we’re a good match; but, before I could even do that, he unmatched me. The universe made a decision before I could hahaha. Thanks again everyone!
