Idk if this is the right place to talk about this, but here it is. So, I have Tourettes Syndrome. For many years i have gone to acupuncture and even though it kinda calmed down my tics, it never was like my first experience with shibari.
Since I was a kid, I always liked to be tied up. Some time ago, i saw a documentary about Shibari. It talked about the psychological things, the connections between people and everything. It really interested me and I taught myself some Basic selftying techniques. I tied myself and was laying on my bed and then I noticed, that I didnt have any need to do my tics. Because they work like an energy you need to release everytime in a form of tic (thats What my doctor told me). And it seems to me that the feeling of rope tied around me, might be “calming the energy”. I was literally so happy and almost started to cry when I noticed, bcs the feeling of thinking about them and not doing them was just awesome.
I wanted to tell the doctor who used to do the acupuncture to me, What she thinks about it, but Im just too scared to talk about it. What should I do? Does someone of you have any similiar experience?
