Hello everyone!
New-ish Dom here. Long time lurker, first time poster. Just want to say this community is amazing. I've learned so much from reading through the advice on here, so thank you all!
I was wondering if I could get some advice on giving aftercare online, specifically over text format. I try to give good aftercare and make sure all the needs of my sub are met. Just the basics would be....
I try to make my sub feel safe, comfy, and valued.
I use a lot of praise, and speak very complimentary and sweetly.
I try to tell her to do things to take care of herself that I would do. Like get water or a snack. Clean up and get ready for bed. Wrap up in a blanket and get cozy. Not in a commanding way, like "you need to do this for me", but more in a gentle prompting her to give self care, letting her know she deserves to be pampered.
I let her know how great she did, and how happy she made me playing with her. And how fun it is to interact with her inside and out of a scene.
I try to cater the aftercare to the individual as well. I know different subs have different needs, but sometimes it's hard to get a feel for that online.
So sometimes I feel like the aftercare I'm giving is just a bit generic. I can accomplish everything I listed above in a few messages. After that it kind of feels like I'm just repeating myself. Is this ok?
I don't want to sound like I'm phoning it in. But I also don't want to drop like 3 lines of aftercare and then ghost. That's not the kind of guy I am, and not the kind of Dom I'm going to be.
Sorry for the ramble. I guess I'm just looking for advice on how to make sure my efforts at online Aftercare come across as authentic as they are intended. Any tips on what you do as a Dom(me), or what you like as a Sub, would be greatly appreciated
Thanks!!
