So my gf is a "put everything in the fridge person" and I'm trying to convince her this is not necessary. How do I convince her or anyone that 1. many foods can be left out of the fridge 2. Sell by dates are not exp dates 3. exp dates are just a recommendation. I heard an NPR story about this place that's dedicated to this kind of stuff and the advice they gave was "food (except meats) generally last a lot longer than people think foods like refrigerated milk gown sour, cheese and bread with mold, and stale anything. It really annoys me when people make a stink about it
