Okay this is probably a ridiculous question. Some context: I am obsessed with the cotton candy blizzard from Dairy Queen. I constantly ask for extra of the cotton candy rock candies on the side every time. I have started just making my own CC ice cream at home. I just need to figure out the crunchy candy part. 1. Does anybody know what THOSE are from DQ? 2. I was told by a random person that they are pop rocks, but I don’t believe they are. I bought cotton candy pop rocks and the taste is definitely different. I’m fine with that, I just want the texture in my ice cream. So how can I add these pop rocks to my own ice cream? I don’t want them to pop as I’m eating..I just want the crunch. Is there a way to set them off beforehand? TIA.
