I realized I ran out of white granulated sugar and I have a very busy work schedule this week. So no time to buy more groceries but I already have plenty of agave syrup in my cabinet, would that work as a substitute for white sugar?
I'm mainly planning to cook some BBQ or some teriyaki chicken and I usually use white sugar as part of my homemade sauce.
Would agave syrup have a different taste for savory foods like above? I know it can substitute sugar in coffee but I have a hard time looking for any opinions in savory dishes.
