Hi culinary enthusiasts! I love cooking but lack the technical terminology to express my question in a sophisticated manner. I apologize.
So my boyfriend loves my pot roast - especially how the veggies saturate with the flavor as I keep it slow cooking for overnight. However, I don't eat red meat. I'd like to make savory veggies similarly, but with a chicken flavor.
How I love to make it ordinarily involves standard bake chicken in the oven with veggies sopping up the butter/chicken drippings over time. We have a gas-powered oven though. So I'm trying to see if anyone here has tips on doing this with a slow cooker instead to get that same awesome taste in vegetables that have cooked in meat over time.
Sorry if this is a silly question. I just wanted to see if anyone had advanced techniques I didn't think of.
