Hi all! First post, I think! Anyways, I just made a vanilla cake from scratch for my dad and frosted it with homemade Vanilla Buttercream. I was not going to have time to frost the cake tomorrow, so I frosted it moments ago.
I put it in the fridge because I was freaking out that the frosting would make it go bad (it has butter, vanilla, salt, sugar, and heavy cream), but now I’m worried about the cake quality if refrigerated and eaten tomorrow.
This is the least of anyone’s concern, but I’d love some confirmation if refrigerating was the best course of action or advice to leave it out overnight.
I don’t want to fail my dad on his bday! Lol
Thanks!
