Post Body

Hello! I'm not exactly sure where to post this so if this isn't the correct subreddit I apologize. I'm posting this for my girlfriend, as she doesn't use reddit but is well aware of its wide reach as far as people go. We just thought it might be worth a shot to post it here. the below text in quotes was typed by her and i just basicallyu copied it and am posting it with this preface whichever subs i think its appropriate so ya any thoughts or comments greatly appreciated !

"Let me just start off by saying that I completely understand something like this cannot be diagnosed by strangers on the internet but circumstances are preventing me from seeing an actual doctor. I guess I'll also preface this with some info about me that could help this health related issue. I'm a 22 year old female, 5'6, and I have severe anxiety."

"When I was around 7-8 years old, I would get a lot of anxiety when sleeping alone at night and thats the only time that these episodes would happen. Basically I'd be laying in bed on the verge of a panic attack because i was sleeping alone, and in my head I would see rocks falling on to strings (BARE WITH ME I KNOW THATS STRANGE) but theyd be all around me everywhere happening at rapid speeds and every time a rock hit a string it would break and make a "tick" sound and it was happening so fast that the sound was like static because of the repetitiveness. Physically, while this happened, my fingers, neck, head, mouth, would freeze and feel extremely weird? Like locked and almost in pain I guess? It would, in turn send me into a full blown panic attack where I'd have to knock on my moms door and tell her "im having rocks and strings" she didn't understand it and neither did I and its still really hard for me to explain. I heard her talking on the phone with my aunt at one point and they thought it could've been seizures but im still not sure what to think of it. It only happened that short period of maybe a year and then it stopped. I don't know if it was anxiety related because my anxiety never stopped but weird episodes did. TODAY it happened again but it was triggered by a sound my boyfriend made, just a "psh" sound. But the way he said it just made me physically feel what I used to feel with "rocks and strings". I didn't see anything or hear anything but its like a radiating numbness and confusion and it just completely stopped me in my tracks and made me feel really weird. I wish I could elaborate more as to the feeling it gave me cause I know it would help but i dont really know how else to explain it. This obviously isn't a serious issue I guess I'm just curious as to what anyone might think it could be."
