I have two goldfish in an appropriately sized tank, I am measuring the levels of all the chemicals, I have a security camera on them, I have an autofeeder and a filter with appropriate substrate for bacterial growth. A professional aquarist checked my setup and it's supposedly good to go. But I am so so scared that my stand will collapse and they'll spill everywhere, that the ammonia levels will spike and they'll burn to death, etc. I have had a close call before w the ammonia so it's not unthinkable, but that was before I got advice etc. I had a fish die before and believe it was from parasites (this was just a pet store fish that died soon after coming home) and I keep thinking I tortured him to death and worrying the same will happen w my two current fish. I am currently cyling a larger tank for them and am terrified to move them to it in case the levels get out of whack and I don't catch it in time. I can't believe I can't even handle goldfish.
