Tl:dr - This stuff saves me whenever I am feeling anxious. I just add a teaspoon of it on a sandwich or mix it with something in my meal. I know it doesn’t taste the best but give it a try what do you have to lose?? Long story long: I have had anxiety for almost 5 years. I know eating definitely helps take the edge off of the issue, but the meal needs to be nutritious. So eating McDonalds or a bunch of chocolate usually make me worse.

A few months back I made myself a chicken pie and mash potatoes mixed with whole grain mustard and I noticed after the meal I felt notably anxious free but the meal had many ingredients so I couldn’t narrow down what helped. So the next day, around lunch I started to feel anxious so I rushed to the kitchen and reached for the left over pie for lunch – hoping it was going to help me. This time I only ate the pie and no mash and after I still felt anxious. So it got me thinking – how come that meal fixed my anxiety the night before but its not helping too much today. Then it hit me the only thing that was different was the lack of whole grain mustard (I know there was also a lack of potato this time also but I eat them all the time and I know for a fact they don’t help much) So, with my new found knowledge that night I made a ham and whole grain mustard sandwich and boom. Anxiety gone for the night. Then I checked the nutrition within mustard seeds and its packed full of minerals that help brain function and mood (See chart in pics)

Also, I wouldn’t recommend normal smooth mustards as I’d expect most of the nutrition has been removed in the manufacturing process.

If you do try this and it helps, please come back and leave comment so more people see this. I want to know if it helps cure other people’s anxiety or is it just mine.
