Hi everyone!
I'd really appreciate any tips people have with anxiety about shopping for and cooking food. My anxiety seems to peak between 2pm and 7pm (between lunch and before/around dinner). I don't get agoraphobic, but I do get quite a lot of anxiety around being able to eat lunch and dinner when going out - I always plan nights out or trips ahead to make sure I have somewhere healthy to eat.
I'm a college student, and some of the worst anxiety I get is going food shopping (about 15min walk away in a busy city); I don't get any anxiety around other shopping, like clothes. But the idea of going to the store, buying the right ingredients to cook a healthy meal for one person without food waste, and then executing that back in my apartment without burning/failing the recipe is so scary to me.
Any tips/tricks on what to do? I've tried to do meal prep but my ADHD makes it really tricky, and I often get very overwhelmed walking around the big food store.
