Well hello there fellow Redditors! My name's Kevin, I'm a 41 year old guy currently residing in the Atlanta area. I grew up here, but I'm originally from Maryland and spent most of the last decade living in Denver before moving back to Atlanta to temporarily take care of an ill parent. I work remotely and not tied down here at all, so for the right person I'd be open to relocating. I'm open to long distance so long as we can meet in person now and then and eventually close the distance gap.

I have two miniature poodles Maynard & Reznor who are my world! I adopted Maynard 10 years ago, and Reznor 4 years later from the same shelter. They're my best friends and we have a blast together.

I'm self-employed and love what I do! Two years ago I founded a dental equipment company; we sell those big x-ray machines that rotate around your head. We're still in startup mode but we're growing, and 2023 looks to be a great year!

I've been told more than once that I'm a great cook, and I think my dogs would have to agree as they always scarf down whatever I give them. I make a lot of amazing dishes from scratch, particularly tostadas, marinated pan-seared trout, pot roast and mashed potatoes, and shrimp & grits. However I'm not above fixing myself a bowl of Ramen noodles for dinner (though I usually doctor them up with green onions, carrots, eggs and whatever else I have in the fridge).

While I loved living in Denver, I prefer white sandy beaches and year round warm weather over mountains. It would be awesome to have a partner that also has an interest in eventually moving to the Caribbean.

I'm a big fan of most genres, but particularly sci fi, fantasy, historical dramas, and thrillers. And obviously The Princess Bride, of course. I don't play video games or DnD or enjoy anime, which I guess makes me an oddity of some sorts on Reddit. I also don't care too much for watching sports on TV either (it's been years since I've even seen a Super Bowl), but I sometimes enjoy going to baseball games.

I have absolutely no musical talent whatsoever (and those who've seen me dance will say that it isn't a pretty sight), but I love going to concerts and comedy shows. I know it sounds cliche but I listen to almost everything. I'm late to the game on podcasts but I'm really starting to get into them.

So, this is where the other shoe drops (this all sounded too good to be true, didn't it?). Well, I'm 100% childfree. I don't have children and don't ever want them, not even stepkids. I've had a vasectomy, so it's impossible for me to get a woman pregnant. No, I'm never going to consider getting the procedure reversed. I'm all about the comfortable DINK life (dual income no kids) and retiring early.

I'm a left-leaning political centrist, and like most rational people, I don't like Donald Trump or what he represents, and I fully support women's bodily autonomy,  LGBTQ rights, universal healthcare, the elimination of the military industrial complex and Citizens United. I go back and forth between being an atheist and an agnostic, but I should probably just call myself spiritual and be done with it.

I don't smoke or use any hard drugs, but I enjoy a good cocktail. I'm all for marijuana being legal, but I don't usually partake anymore due to the anxiety it can cause me. 

I'm not just looking for a woman, but a life partner. Someone who shares my core values and love of dogs and cats, and where we're just as content together as when we're marveling at the historical and artistic magnificence of the Sistine Chapel or cuddled together on the couch watching Netflix. I prefer someone that is physically active and takes care of her body, as well as her mind (mental health issues are ok if in active treatment for them).
