Hi there. I’m excited that you’re reading this. Pleased to meet you. I’m 72, divorced, now single, experienced with most all of the ups and downs of life. I’ve been in many relationships, learned some hard lessons, enjoyed the company of some fantastic women. I’ve been single for a while. I’m fine being single, and I’ve been single for more than 2 years. I still prefer the company of a compatible woman.
I’m going to use a metaphor to explain what I’m looking for. Imagine a piece of paper with writing or a fancy design, torn or cut in an elaborate way such that only those two pieces fit together. Like a hand in a glove. This was actually a device used in ancient times called a tessera.
In those ancient times, particularly in Roman and Greek societies, a tessera was a token or tablet often made of clay, wood, or stone. When two parties entered into an agreement or sought to establish a bond, a tessera would be broken or divided into two matching parts. Each party would keep one piece, and the two parts could later be fit together as a way to verify identity, confirm the agreement, or symbolize the connection between them.
Tesserae were commonly used for contracts, hospitality pacts, or alliances, functioning as an early form of authentication.
So I’m seeking the other half of my tessera. Someone who fits just right. A partner who compliments me and I her.
We can only find out one way, by seeing where it goes. I’m here if you’re ready and interested…
