Good evening ladies of Austin. I am a 43 year old clean cut white business professional. I am 6ft tall 180lbs and moderately active/fit. Over the last year I have been focusing on being better about health and fitness and by better I mean like 70% healthy. As part of that I have been doing twice a week long hikes with a weighted backpack. Like 4 to 6 miles. Sometimes if there is water I will stop and hop in to cool off then keep on moving.
I would love to combine my hikes with my other favorite activity of getting to know new people. This can be strictly platonic and just chatting and getting some exercise in or more if we click. I work in finance so I am always happy to chat about personal finance, business ideas, anything science, politics if we dare, or anything going on in this wild world of ours.
What are some of your favorite parts of town?
A few things I would love to do this summer are the full 7 miles of the Barton Creek Trail system. Knock out the 10 mile loop around downtown, it's been 25 years since I last did it. And drive out to the Guadalupe Mountains and hike to the top of Texas.
