Some nice things I’ve missed in over two years of being single:
- Butterflies. It’s been so long since I’ve felt them. When you meet someone and there are instant amazing vibes and butterflies. When the conversation just flows naturally. You stay up too late chatting about everything and anything and don’t care about being tired for work the next day. When you don’t have to fall back on fillers like…how was your day, or tell me about you. How within hours it feels like you know each other forever and can’t imagine life without them.
- Actual dates. Where you meet isn’t as important as the person you are meeting. Holding hands across a table. You can’t remember the last time you felt so comfortable with someone before. You’re dying to kiss.
- planning a future with someone. I’m two years out of a 9 year relationship with an emotionally abusive narcissist. I’ve never met someone more lacking in big picture thinking. I miss doing silly things like wandering through a target and imagining how a future with that person could be. Or an ikea!
- cooking together. Kitchen a mess. Romantic music on. Whatever you make is the best meal ever because you’re together. Fun fact: my breakfast does kick ass.
- cuddling at home. Need I say more?
Despite being a Brooklyn born sarcastic old soul, there’s always a part of me that remains an eternal optimist.
Yes, the odds are stacked against me. So many ghost, have nothing to say or are scammers. Yet, there has to be someone out there right?
Peeked your interest? Tell me about you. What do you miss?
I’m 50, 6’ tall and live on Long Island with my 7 cats. I do data analysis and IT for a large healthcare company and host the shelter cats podcast.
You?
Please don’t:
Be outside of the US. Sorry. Prefer east coast but I’m open.
Just looking for insta followers. My show has plenty. Thanks.
Not willing to meet when appropriate. I work remotely, so I have plenty of virtual in my life. Thank you very much.
