As a married man on this search, I’ve realized the right woman for me doesn’t have to share all (or even most) of my interests. It’s more important we share similar approaches to the world.

Most of the time rationality reigns….our passionate hearts unable to break the chains our frontal lobes wrap them in. But once in a while, far too rarely, we meet someone who organically and effortlessly unlocks those chains, or at least makes us want to. And once let loose, we are riding heady waters. Our fingers white from exertion, digging into the surface as we hang on for dear life. Then as suddenly as the waters frothed, they calm. The exertion of release flooding our bodies with endorphins, and in that space our devotion to each other deepens and intimacy flourishes.

Maybe I got carried away there, but isn’t that why we’re here, to get carried away in a controlled way, a sober way?’

If you reach out, you should possess the following qualities: * A wide-ranging interest and curiosity about the world, a thirst for learning that never stops. This includes learning about yourself. * Disdain for at least some of society’s moors. * A place for both feminism and traditional gender roles in your life. * Don’t take yourself too seriously, or at least not all of the time. Appreciation for both low brow and high brow is a plus. I don’t always write how I did above. * Be ready to invest time, energy, and emotion into a fully featured relationship with all the feels. Let’s not put labels on things right away, but I need all the connections. Emotional availability is crucial. * A high libido. * Should you be located within 2 hours, the ability to meet 1-3 times a month once we’re both comfortable. You should have done this before, thought through the logistics or be willing to be coached through it.
