I come to this subreddit with hopes of a better future for myself . I’m 29/m and live in the South. My mom runs a motel and I live with her in said roadside motel. I work from home and was furloughed from March to July which is why I moved to live with her. Fortunately, as I was moving out, they said I could come back to work.
The trouble is my job pays peanuts. I made enough to scrape by and without rent I’m able to save a little more but I’m trying to pay these credit cards off in lieu of rent. My question to this subreddit is “what can I do to increase my salary?”.
I’m in a masters program part-time but won’t be done until 2022. I’m a liberal arts major with some coding background and taking some classes through community college online but I don’t know where to go from here. I apply to higher paying jobs with no traction. Any help or advice will be appreciated.
