You may actually have wavy or curly hair. I thought I had frizzy hair but I actually had wavy hair. If you want it straight you'll have to heat style it to avoid frizz.
Once I started styling my hair naturally wavy I had less or no frizz.
It depends on how thin your strands are and porosity (does your hair get wet fast or slow and how much product does it take in). My hair is thin and not very porous so heavy oils like coconut oil weighs my hair down. If your hair is coarse or can take in product, coconut oil works. I instead use a leave in conditioner
When your hair is wet after washing hair that's when you detangle. While still wet, use a leave in conditioner or coconut oil. You want your hair to be moisturized before styling. Otherwise your hair will be frizzy.
Then decide how you want to style your hair. Use a heat protectant and straightener if you're going straight
To wear it wavy, while hair is wet, i apply a gel. Then I scrunch it. After it's dry I scrunch out the gel.
When it's the second day, I re-wet my hair with a spray bottle with water. Scrunch and use a curl cream if necessary to reactivate waves.
