How common is it for South Asians in the West to use fake and Western names when picking up food or similar scenarios?

I started doing that. I already dislike giving out private information to random people. I also do it to make life easier with a very foreign name.

However, the first time I used a fake Western name to pick up my order, it seemed to cause some confusion. I informed the owner that I was picking up for that name, and she said ok. I called her a few minutes before to confirm my order. As I looked at the rest of the menu, she asked me if my name was that fake Western name. I said yes. Around a minute later, she asked again if my name was the fake Western one. I replied yes again, but I feared potential trouble. I tried to distract her by asking questions about the menu prices.

It seemed like she already knew I had a very foreign and Indian name. Thankfully, nothing happened except she gave me extra food in my order lol. I guess she was just very curious and surprised about my name.

Lmao. Yes but that's not the only thing I do. Strippers have other jobs too. No different from those who create onlyfans. I have another career but strip on weekends for kicks. Plus that's extra money to go into my retirement/savings. I could get a regular side hustle but you don't make as much stripping.

  1. You don't tell your parents. Or just say you work at a bar on weekends and leave it at that. No one needs to know everything. My siblings and close friends know. I love having a secret hustle. It makes me feel like spiderman/Peter Parker. It makes it more fun. Plus as an adult it's my business.

I knew an Indian male stripper who ended up telling his parents. First they laughed not believing it. Then they were uncomfortable with him being possibly gay as male strippers will get a lot of gay men as customers.

  1. Not sure what biodata for AMs mean. I don't include it on profiles. I leave it out. It's not relevant and generally you leave irrelevant details out. Plus it's also for security reasons. You don't want to attract creeps or stalkers.

Of course I do tell a guy I'm seeing upfront. It saves me time. There are guys who are fine with it. My stripper coworkers are married with or without kids and in relationships.

I've seen strippers use entertainer or performer, hostess, or sales associate (stripping is really no different from a sales job), or life coach (yeah sometimes I feel like a therapist as guys tell me their problems. One guy paid me just to cry on my shoulder in a private room. Cmon how many people embellish their resumes?

I tried it almost 20 years ago and hated it. Full of fobs more interested in my US passport.

Would I even bother with shaadi.com? Isn't it for fobs and their families?
