Whenever I see a white ethnic restaurant (european besides italian, and some hispanic), I just assume everyone there is racist and hostile.

So those are cuisines I just never tried before. Should I?

Huh? The best service I got was from a family owned Greek restaurant. And an Irish bar. I'm a regular at that bar and always good service. Patrons around me are respectful and conversational with me. White men offer to buy me drinks. And one of the bartenders offers to walk me to my car when I'm there alone.
Seriously wtf? Sounds like you have a problem.
Restaurants just want business.
