2 movies released the same year with the same plot???
Post Body

So I just joined this sub specifically because I found two movies with the EXACT same plot released about 6 months apart and I feel like my Facebook won’t care as much as y’all… So back in 2021 I watched a movie called Alone starring Tyler Posey (teen wolf) and it was really good. Yesterday I watched #Alive which is a Korean film for those who haven’t seen it. And it’s the EXACT SAME PLOT. Only real difference is the ending of each is different. My question is did Alone copy #Alive (since it came out after) or did by chance the writers happen to write similar stories? Because I feel like it takes more than 6 months to make a movie so for someone to watch one and make a near exact copy in less than a year and it be GOOD doesn’t seem feasible…

Edit Turns out #Alive is based off of Alone. The script for Alone was written first and then the writer for it helped the screenwriter for #Alive adapt it into that version, and then Alone became its own movie.
